Full Week of Workshops
Last week was a busy and fun week. On Wednesday night we had our second Quilting and Patchwork session which was very exciting. I was so impressed at how the ladies had gone away and practiced the techniques during the week. Tonight is the final session so by 9pm this evening we should have 3 bags and a table runner made.
On Thursday I taught an Introduction to the Sewing Machine class to two students who wanted a quick recap on how to use the machine. They both went away full of enthusiasm - good job done.
This week we have had our Beginner's Guide to Tailoring session. Thank you to Elizabeth Pennington for teaching the class. Learning the basic techniques will give you a professional finish and make your garments look amazing. Once you learn these skills, you will have them for life and the possibilities are endless.
Tomorrow I am teaching one of my favourite classes; an owl cushion. By combining colourful, pretty fabrics and adding some character with hand embroidery and appliqué, these lovely cushions are a great addition to every home.
Children's parties are such a fun activity to do, this week we have two. Owl cuddly toy on Friday evening and fabric painting tote bags on Sunday.
As well as evening workshops we are open in the day for tea, coffee and lunch so please pop in and spread the word that we are a cafe. I am always happy to say hello to new faces.
Exciting new - a selection of new stock has also arrived this week. Sewing accessories, needle felting kits, buttons and ribbon are now in stock.
Will update our Facebook page with photos from the workshops and parties this week so please have a look.
