The first two weeks

Well, thought it was about time i added another post. Sorry its been a while.

The shop is now open and has had a very good first two weeks. I would like to say thank you to all of our lovely customers who have wished us well and left some thoughtful comments. It is good to know there are so many people in the Harrogate area that enjoy sewing and crafts and think it is a great idea to be able to meet other people who enjoy similar things.

Kids party - tote bag painting

Our first kids party painting tote bags. We all had lots of fun deciding what to paint and choosing buttons and sequins.

Epic trip to Ikea

I love a shopping trip but after 4 hours walking round Ikea on Monday has put me off, (well, only a little!) I must have sat on every chair and measured every table. Not to worry i got there in the end and came away with a car full.

The shop is coming together, walls painted and lighting well on the way. Flooring is being put down tomorrow and Jim and i will be busy all weekend putting together the Ikea flat packs.

First day painting

Just come back from spending the last few hours at the shop sanding and painting. Only done the first wall and first coat, but i was on my own so really pleased. The colour is lovely so can't wait to crack on and show you the finished results.

Collecting the keys!

Monday 1st July 2013

I went and collected the keys first thing this morning! Felt very excited but nervous at the same time. I took my Mum and boyfriend/business partner Jim to have a good nosy round the property.

Spent most of the day coming up with ideas. It was the usual routine, me being creative thinking about colours, wallpaper and teapots and Jim being practical.

Will keep you posted on the renovations.
