Title Date
Piped Cushion with Zip - £35 Fri, 02/06/2017 - 10:30 to 13:00

Learn two fantastic techniques that will improve your sewing skills and take a simple cushion to the next step.

Firstly you will cut out your cushion panels for a 40cm x 40cm (16" x 16") cushion cover before moving onto making the matching piping, using piping cord and your cushion fabric. We will show you have to create the piping strip, insert the piping cord and advise on what machine foot to use.

You will then move onto inserting the zip, using the best technique to do this with piping.

Once the zip is inserted you will sew the remaining cushion cover and finish to a neat standard.

You will need to provide 3/4m of light to medium upholstery fabric, matching thread and a 14" zip.

Tea, coffee, cake and piping cord included.
